What in-house operations means in practice
Mature conventional production rewards attention to detail. Aspen's approach rests on four commitments.
Reservoir understanding first
Production decisions follow from an understanding of the drive mechanism, the pattern and the offset activity. Injection, lift and workover programs are engineered rather than reactive.
Cost discipline on every lease
Lease operating expense is reviewed at the well and lease level. Facilities are maintained to the standard the production justifies, and capital is spent where it changes the outcome.
Regulatory and environmental responsibility
Permits, production reports, and regulatory filings are managed directly by the firm.
Direct relationships
Interest owners, surface owners and service providers deal with the firm's own personnel. Questions are answered by the people responsible for the wells.
